A self-contained appliance is pre-configured to your specifications. Once installed in a data center,
the appliance can be configured and controlled through a remote graphical client interface.
What kind of product support do you offer?
IntApp offers a variety of support including an extensive resource center and knowledge base and direct
technical support through phone and email. Technical support is presently available during normal business
hours, Monday through Friday. Training and installation support are also available.
Do you provide professional services such as custom solution development?
Our first goal is to provide integration technology that is straightforward enough for an IT organization to
understand and implement itself. However, we will work with organizations with specific implementation requirements
to meet their services needs. Additionally, for organizations with constrained resources or specific expertise requirements,
we have cultivated relationships with qualified third-party consultants trained and certified on the technology.
Technology
How does your technology interface with my applications and data sources?
Depending on the applications, the appliance can interface on the data, application or user layer. The mechanism employed
in each instance depends on the functionality of the application and administrator preferences.
How does the technology integrate and share information?
It breaks data communications into three steps: monitoring, evaluation and execution. Without noticeable performance impact,
the appliance non-intrusively monitors key applications and data stores for changes. When a
change occurs, it responds in real time, analyzes the data event and responds according to pre-defined business logic.
How does Relationship Builder work?
Relationship Builder is a Java-based, graphical software application that runs locally on an administrator's workstation and
connects with the appliance. It provides an intuitive, accessible interface to define and manage data communication rules.
What applications, data and communication standards does it support?
The appliance can connect to a broad set of applications and virtually any data source. Supported standards include databases
such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, Informix or MySQL, protocols such as LDAP and WebDAV, and applications such as
Exchange, Active Directory and PeopleSoft. Additionally, it works well with non-traditional data sources such as text files,
Excel files and any data source supporting ODBC.
Will I need to modify my applications?
No. Integration Appliance enables organizations to build sophisticated integration and data-sharing relationships across a
broad range of applications and standards without changing existing application code.
Can I track how data is changed and updated?
Yes. The appliance automatically generates an audit trail which tracks all activity and data communications. This gives
administrators the means to drill down and view specific operations performed during each transaction.
Is it secure?
Extremely. It has been vetted and approved by IT security audit teams at several Fortune 500 organizations.
